Postpartum Recovery and Newborn Care

In this class you will learn the physiologic changes in a woman as her body goes from pregnant to non pregnant. Many topics will be covered sharing various ways to plan a great start to your postpartum recovery.  The class will focus on the importance of bonding with your newborn and suggestions to create the space to bond.  Breastfeeding basics will be reviewed along with tips and tricks. Information will also be given on how to care for your newborn, the postpartum mother and important resources in the Madison community.

Class to be held at Madison Birth Center.

Fertility Awareness Method (FAM)

Fertility Awareness Method is a sympto-thermal method of tracking fertility cycles, similar to Natural Family Planning. It is a wonderful tool for those who want to learn more about their cycles. Many couples use this method while trying to conceive, and others use it as a very effective form of birth control.
